SALMOGEN INNOVATION
Generational Impact
SalmoGen evaluates genetics across controlled research environments and commercial farming systems to ensure selection decisions reflect real world production challenges. Our advanced phenotyping platforms enable us to simultaneously evaluate breeding nucleus families across environmental, disease, and feed utilization challenges, identifying families with the strongest performance and resilience. These platforms also allow us to investigate metabolic and health traits that contribute to overall production performance.
By integrating advanced genomic tools, including gene editing and germ cell transfer, with our phenotyping platforms and selection strategies, we are building a breeding program designed for lasting, generational impact. Each advancement builds on the last, carrying genetic progress forward through successive generations and shaping the future of salmon farming for decades to come.
SALMOGEN DEVELOPMENT
An Integrated Approach
SalmoGen brings together specialized research capabilities, advanced genomic technologies, and precision breeding within an integrated ecosystem designed to accelerate genetic progress. Through shared data, expertise, and collaboration, we translate research into breeding decisions that improve performance, strengthen resilience, and deliver lasting value to the global salmon farming industry.
